Marcella Audas Long, 80, of East Moline, Illinois, died Monday, May 12, 2008, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with The Reverend Louis Cheek officiating. Visitation is 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Marcella Long Memorial Fund to be established by the family.
The former Marcella Ruth Guentner was born March 24, 1928, in Lanark, Illinois, the daughter of Earl and Delta ?(Brenneman) Guentner. She married Edward Audas on June 23, 1950, in Lanark. He died June 16, 1964. She married Frank Long on April 4, 1977, in East Moline. He died September 3, 1980.
Marcella was a member of Community Christian Church, Moline. She worked at Mr. Donut for many years, enjoyed playing cards and bingo, and was a member of the Red Hatters. She loved spending time with her family and church friends.
Marcella is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Tom Rockwell of Coal Valley, and Joy and David Hoover of Evansville, Indiana; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Julie Audas of Moline; grandchildren, Sarah Rockwell, Michael and Ali Rockwell, Beth and Shawn McMullen, Kristoffer and Layne Brown, Katie Brown, Sarah and Jason Olson, Bryan Warren, Christopher Warren, Emily Warren, Garrett Audas, and Richard Audas; great-grandchildren, Stephan Abbott, Haillee Abbott, Kayla McMullen, Chance Epley, and Gavynn Greenwall; and a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Marvin Buisker of Lanark. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Ronald Guentner.
