Arthur Ward DeKoster, 71, of Spanaway, Washington, formerly of the Quad-Cities, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Washington, on Friday March 7, 2014.
Services are 1:30 P.M. Monday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. to funeral time on Monday. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Ward was born Sept. 16, 1942, served in the U. S. Army as a Spec 4 stationed in Korea, and
was a Tool and Die Maker for J.I. Case, Bettendorf, and Boeing in St. Louis and Seattle. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Bettendorf, and became Grand Worshipful Master at the Masonic Lodge in Tacoma, WA.
Survivors include his wife Edith DeKoster; children and spouses, Gregory and Jeannine DeKoster and Ginette and Russell Caswell; grandchildren, Rebecca and Nichole DeKoster, and Calvin, Caitlin, and Cayla Caswell; a brother, Daniel DeKoster; and a sister, Linda Stout. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hallie Six and Arthur DeKoster, and his first wife Janet Fuller DeKoster.
