Monna L. Wise, 89, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011, in her home. Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with Dr. Roger Perry of Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, officiating. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to one?s favorite charity.
The former Monna Lee Yeager was born November 19, 1921, in Seymour, Iowa, the daughter of Burl Theodore and Bessie (Dougherty) Yeager. She graduated from Moline High School in 1939, and married Frederick William Wise on April 12, 1941, in Davenport, Iowa. He died June 8, 1989.
She was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, where she was a part of Grace Circle. She was a member of the Alice Kennedy Circle of King?s Daughters, the Romo Bridge Club, Moline Literaray Guild, and the Moline Public Hospital Auxillary. She enjoyed golfing with her husband, crosswords, and spending time with her family.
Monna is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Judith Wise of Moline, and Doug and Marla Wise of Woodland Park, Colorado; grandchildren, Lori and Greg Knowles of Toulon, Illinois, Kim and Greg Baze of Yorkville, Illinois, Brian and Teri Wise of Moline, Jared Wise of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Cody Wise of Denver, Colorado; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bill Yeager of Rock Island, Illinois. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Yeager, and two daughters at birth.
