Antonio Tellez-Calderon, de 77 años, de Waterloo, Iowa, murió el martes 4 de julio de 2023 en su casa.

La misa de entierro cristiano es a las 10:30 a. m. el martes 11 de julio en la iglesia católica de St. Mary, Moline, oficiada por el padre Antonio Dittmer. El entierro es en el cementerio católico de St. Mary, East Moline.

Antonio nació el 16 de octubre de 1945 en México, hijo de Gonzalo Téllez e Isidora Calderón. Trabajó para Tyson Fresh Meats en Waterloo.

A Antonio le sobreviven su esposa, Ma Luiza Baeza Durán de México; siete hijos, Martha Téllez, Jesús Téllez, Ramón Téllez, Teresa (Agustín Miranda) Téllez, Antonio (María Gutiérrez) Téllez, José Téllez y Gonzalo Téllez; nueve nietos; y siete hermanos. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres y tres hermanos.

Antonio Tellez-Calderon, 77, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at home.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Moline, with Father Antonio Dittmer officiating.  Burial is in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, East Moline.

Antonio was born October 16, 1945, in Mexico, the son of Gonzalo Tellez and Isidora Calderon.  He worked for Tyson Fresh Meats in Waterloo.

He enjoyed working, smoking, cutting grass and spending time with his family.

Antonio is survived by his wife, Ma Luiza Baeza Duran of Mexico; seven children, Martha Tellez, Jesus Tellez, Ramon Tellez, Teresa (Augustin Miranda) Tellez, Antonio (Maria Gutierez) Tellez, Jose Tellez, and Gonzalo Tellez; nine grandchildren; and seven siblings.  He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.
