Anela A. Parks

Anela A. Parks, 4, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, Illinois, after a lifelong, courageous battle with a KCNT 1 genetic mutation.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 11, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with Rev. Peter Bredlau of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline, officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to the family.

Anela Alise Parks was born April 17, 2017, in Moline, the daughter of Allissa Hansen and Rodricco Parks II. She was so strong from the day she was born, and despite the struggles she had to endure, she was always such a happy girl that brought joy to everyone around her. “Nela Baby” will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Anela is survived by her parents, Allissa Hansen and Rodricco Parks II, both of Rock Island; her brother, Roan Parks; grandparents, Sandy Hansen of Carbon Cliff, Illinois, Yuvess Foulks of Davenport, and Rodricco Parks Sr. of Rock Island; aunts and uncles, Kylen (Kristin) Hansen, Culley (Mary) Hansen, Seth Hansen, John Hansen, Sara (Tim) Varela, and Justin (Bethany) Kump, Develle (Ashley Rigdon) Hooks, and Deshameon Coleman; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Mark Hansen; and great-grandmother, Osie Foulks.
