Alonza Lonnie Ralston, 67, of Davenport, Iowa, died Tuesday, June 15, 2021, in his home.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday, June 25, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to the family.
Lonnie was born July 14, 1953, in Parkin, Arkansas, to Sam and Mae D (Sullivan) Roston. He served in the US Navy and the Army National Guard of Iowa for 26 years. He was an intake receptionist at the Salvation Army Rehabilitation Center, Davenport.
He enjoyed being with family, laughing and talking, sitting back smoking his stuff, drinking beer, watching “Naked and Afraid” on TV, and of course basketball.
Lonnie is survived by three children, Latoy Ralston of Moline, Daneeshea Ralston and Tremayne Ralston, both of Rock Island; eight surviving siblings; a host of nieces and nephews, including a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; his good friend Koolaid and a special lady friend of over 20 years as well as her children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
