Alan Champoux

Alan Champoux, 58, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at ManorCare of Davenport, Iowa, after an extended illness.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. His wishes were that he have no services. Memorials may be made to UnityPoint Hospice, 106 19th Avenue, Moline, IL 61265

He was born February 7, 1958, in Duluth, Minnesota, to Elden and Sandra (Byers) Champoux. He was a graduate of Ottumwa, Iowa, High School in 1976. He enjoyed traveling, camping, trivia, and he loved to read!

He is survived by a special friend who helped take care of him throughout his illness, Tammy Nimmers of Moline, Illinois; daughter, Amy Champoux of Des Moines, Iowa; son, Brant (Sarah) Champoux of Oskaloosa, Iowa; sisters, Kim Champoux of Lafayette, Colorado, and Karen (Brian) Bowden (his favorite sister) of Bettendorf; brother, Kurt Champoux of Ottumwa; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter.
