A. Wayne Rummery

A. Wayne Rummery, 89, of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, December 17, 2004, in Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus. Silvis, Illinois. Services are 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline, with The Reverend John A. Laux officiating. Entombment is in Greenview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation is one hour before the services. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is in charge of arrangement. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Alvin Wayne Rummery was born June 24, 1915, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Sidney and Pearl (Kleeman) Rummery. He attended Augustana College, and married Shirley Braucht on October 21, 1951, in East Moline. Wayne was employed in management at Eagle Signal for 51 years, retiring in 1985. After retirement, he worked at Jim Otis and Associates, Moline, for 10 years. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline, and past president of the Moline Noon Kiwanis Club. He enjoyed reading and gardening. Wayne is survived by his wife, Shirley; three children, Stephen Rummery of Rock Island, Jonathan Rummery and his wife Deann of East Moline; and Susan Rummery of Clive, Iowa; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Everett Rummery, and a sister, Lillian Marshall.
