Oleta F. Schwartz, 92, of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, January 30, 2012, in Amber Ridge Assisted Living, Moline.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline.
The former Oleta Fae Hainline was born May 5, 1919, in Minier, Illinois, the daughter of Don and Elizabeth (Lambert) Hainline. She married William Robert Schwartz on March 14, 1937, in Bloomington, Illinois. They moved to Lead Hill, Arkansas, after Bob?s retirement in 1981, and lived there for 15 years. Bob died January 19, 2003.
She worked as a secretary for her family?s business, Schwartz Construction Company in Bloomington and Moline.
Oleta was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, and Hope United Church of Christ, Moline. She enjoyed reading, sewing, stamps, gardening, and bird watching.
Oleta is survived by sons, William ?Bob? Schwartz, Jr. and his wife, Mary Lou, of East Moline, and Paul Schwartz and his wife, Barbara, of Moline; grandchildren, Susan Schwartz-Smith and Charlie Smith of East Moline, Kathryn and Edwar Salinas of East Moline, Marty and Jim Tarmann of Normal, Illinois, Kelly and Tony Romeo of Moline, and Stacy and Todd Hornbuckle of Davenport; seven great-grandchildren; and nephews, Harold and Gary Tucker. She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, Velma Tucker, and two brothers in infancy.
