Carol Anna Loding, 70, of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, August 4, 2007, in her home.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Private burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to Humane Society of the USA, Animal Aid Humane Society, Moline, or a favorite animal charity.
The former Carol Anna Colson was born December 23, 1936, in Moline, the daughter of Raymond and Ethel (Kohlhase) Colson. She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University, and was a kindergarten teacher for the East Moline School District for 33 years, most of time at Ridgewood Elementary School. She retired in 2001.
She was a member of IKEA, NEA, and EMEA, PETA, World Wild Life Fund, Doris Day Animal League, and Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity. She enjoyed reading and listening to classical music, loved the beauty of nature and animals, and wished for everyone to be kind to animals.
Carol is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Steven Korzeniewski of Stewartsville, New Jersey, and Holly and Brian Landis of Peoria, Illinois, and two grandchildren, Steven and Anna Korzeniewski.
