Richard A. Bump, 56, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, March 22, 2007, in his residence.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with The Reverend Dr. Mark E. Gehrke officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Trinity Pathway Hospice.
Richard Arnold Bump was born March 21, 1951, in Moline, the son of Jay and Myrtle (Block) Bump. He graduated from Moline High School and attended Black Hawk College. He was a journeyman electrician for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local #145.
He enjoyed auto racing and was an avid collector of Coca Cola memorabilia.
Richard is survived by his mother, Myrtle Bump of Moline; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jay William and Karen Bump of Claremont, Florida, Tom and Roswitha Bump of Moline, and John Bump of San Francisco, California; a nephew and his wife, Jay and Michelle Bump of Bettendorf; great-nephews, Jason and Jacob Bump of Bettendorf; and step-children, Jason Watts of Rock Island and Jennifer Ritz of Moline.
