Marlis Bremer, 89, of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, November 8, 2008, in Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to the services. Private burial will take place at Rock Island National Cemetery.
The former Marlis Ann Martinson was born July 15, 1919, in Decorah, Iowa, the daughter of Adolph and Gertrude (Steine) Martinson. She married Ralph W. Bremer on December 13, 1941, in Rock Hill, Missouri. He died April 27, 1997.
Marlis and her husband owned and operated many restaurants for over 40 years, most notably Bremer?s White Spot Restaurant in Rock Island.
Marlis is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families, who were very dear to her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband and three sisters.
She had many dear neibor friends from Moline who visited her faithfully. She cherished their friendships. We will all miss her greatly.
