Gregory V. “Speedy” McGhee, 61, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Saturday, June 25, 2022, in Rock Island.

Services are Noon Wednesday, July 6, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with Pastor Louis Jeune officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Private burial is in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Greg’s memory.

Gregory Vaughn McGhee was born May 29, 1961, in Rock Island, the son of Edward Wrotham and Virgie (Nixon) McGhee.

Speedy enjoyed two-step dancing and was a happy man who brought joy to those around him. Above all else, family and friends were the most important thing to Greg, and he especially loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Greg is survived by four siblings, Ronald McGhee-Quick of Milan, Illinois, Glenn McGhee of Iowa, Peggy Malone of Rock Island, and Denise (Tony) Spann of Milan; a sister-in-law, Hope Constantino; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Michael Constantino; a sister, Casandra McGhee; his grandmother, Eva G. Nixon; and father-figure, William Burton.
